Temecula Valley Players begin their 2009-10 Season, in celebration of Temecula’s Post Office 150th Anniversary, by taking us back to the Oregon wilderness of the 1850’s. Bursting with rambunctious energy, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is all boisterous fun and romance harkening back to the glory days of the movie musical.
“Goin’ courting” has never been as much fun as in this rip-roaring stage version of the popular MGM movie, adapted by Lawrence Kasha and David Landay. Millie is a newlywed bride whose plan to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law backfires when the brothers kidnap six women from a neighboring town to be their brides.
Directed by J. Scott Lapp
