BRIAN BROOKS MOVING COMPANY
Presented by Temecula Presents Friday, October 5, 2012 at 8pm Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 8pm
The Brian Brooks Moving Company (BBMC), originating from the heart of music and Broadway in New York City, has been traveling across the country with BIG CITY from the East coast to the West coast and never stopping for a breath.
The athletic and visually arresting Brian Brooks Moving Company launches Temecula Presents’ Seventh Dance Series with two of their intelligent and risky recent works: DESCENT (2012), an exploration of the paradoxical tendency of bodies to exhibit both dependency and detachment, performed against a liquid black backdrop; and BIG CITY (2012), which features an architectural set design built by the performers as the dance unfolds, boldly spilling off the stage and throughout the Theater.
BBMC has been moving to the right rhythm for years, and they continue to keep their feet in step. You will experience these talented dancers at their best with their extreme abilities that test human limits. Their works feature aspects like bright lights pointed at patrons, hulking set designs, and all-out athleticism rarely seen in modern dance.
BBMC is hitting the road with an Inland Empire stop onto Temecula’s stage on the heels of our Eighth Season here at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater.
