GALLERY AT THE MERC: Textures Fiber Arts Annual Exhibit 2012

Textures Fiber Artists is a regional group of fiber artists working in the contemporary quilt art medium.

Our mission is:
•To provide a forum for regional art quilters to share their ideas in an atmosphere of creative networking, dialog and mutual inspiration.
•To participate in the promotion, appreciation and recognition of art quilting as a visual art form.
•To provide opportunities for skill development and encouragement of new fiber artists. Textures artists use dye, paint, fuse, cut or tear fabric or other fibers as a part of their work. Other embellishments such as beads, buttons, photos, or found objects in conjunction with hand stitching, embroidery or machine quilting give the work a dimensional interest.
