GALLIM DANCE
Performance Date: 03/22/2013, 8:00 pm

Presented by Temecula Presents

Founded in 2007 by choreographer Andrea Miller, a former Batsheva Ensemble dancer, Gallim Dance is a New York City-based company that takes its name from the Hebrew word for waves.

Gallim Dance is known for its individuality, inventive nature and impressive talent. They love testing the limits of the imagination to realize the endless human capacity for inspiration.

Miller’s work is described by Deborah Jowitt of Village Voice as:
“wrenching and moving and even though you might need a period of recovery afterwards, you’ll find that her works beckon for repeated viewings.”

This young company mixes emotion and physical movements into the heart of their performances. Gallim nurtures creative education in the New York area and the many places that it tours and recently has established a strong arts and outreach program in 2012. This talented group of performers are taking the dance community by full force with their intuitive movements and resonating imagery.
