SPECIAL EVENT: Jeff Dye with Chris Mozy, Ken Carter, Brendan Jay - A Night of Music and Comedy
FRI, OCT 27, 2023 @ 7PM (Doors open at 6:30PM)
We are pleased to welcome Jeff Dye to the Merc stage. A nationally-recognized comedian with appearances on The Tonight Show, Last Coming Standing, MTV and Comedy Central, Jeff headlines A Night of Comedy and Music, one night only.
Headliner - Jeff Dye
Jeff is a nationally touring comedian, actor, host, prankster and Bigfoot enthusiast. He starred in NBC's comedy adventure series "Better Late Than Never." This project followed the travel of Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman as Jeff presents them the adventure of a lifetime. Currently he's on new episodes of "I Can See Your Voice" and "The Masked Singer" on Fox.
Dye has performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (twice), finished 3rd on Last Comic Standing and has had his own "Comedy Central Presents" special. In previous years, he has starred on numerous TV projects, including "Money from Strangers", "Girl Code", "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", as well as NBC's "I Can Do That"- a one hour comedy variety series that puts six of America's brightest entertainers to the test as they compete to showcase their talents with breathtaking and unique acts, featuring skills they didn't even know they had.
Jeff's album "Live from Madison" had been a top 10 album on the Billboard Comedy Charts and his new album Dumb is Gooder is out now!
Dye's passion is bringing love and positivity through laughter to everyone he encounters.
Music Support - Chris Mozy: North Carolina and Nashville-based songwriter, Chris Mozy, came up in the Southern California music scene as the youngster of a group that included a founding member of No Doubt. From there he recorded and performed in a Warped Tour era band that found themselves with a song featured on a hit MTV show. Combining acoustic sensibilities with pop melodies, Mozy has now teamed up with producer Stevie Benz (The Rocket Summer, Rookie of the Year, Corey Ward) to create hook-heavy pop/rock, alt/country anthems.
Music Opener - Ken Carter: Accomplished multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter with exceptional ties to the SoCal ska-punk-rock scene, Carter brings his new solo project to the Merc.
Comedy Host - Brendan Jay: Philadelphia born and raised, Brendan eventually joined the Navy and is currently stationed in San Diego, CA where he features as a stand-up comedian, celebrity impressionist and voice actor. He’s performed all over Southern California, Las Vegas and Florida. Brendan brings that Jim Carrey energy to the stage acting out spot on impressions of celebrities combined with playful observations on dating and military life.
