AN EVENING WITH JOHN BAYLESS
SAT, FEB 1, 2025 @ 7PM
Presented by Dan Friedlich
VENUE: The Old Town Temecula Community Theater
Internationally renowned American pianist and composer, John Bayless, studied at the Aspen School of Music at 15, graduated from The Julliard School of Music, and received a Master’s Degree in Musical Theater at NYU under the mentorship of Leonard Bernstein. He has played for Queen Elizabeth II, and has sold out concerts with the LA and NY Philharmonic Orchestras, the Boston Pops, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Bayless’ improvisation “Bach Meets the Beatles” was a top ten Billboard charts release for classical crossover recording in the 1980s. Please join us to celebrate Mr. Bayless’ inspiring stoke recovery with a screening of a biographical documentary film by Stewart Schulman about John’s transition to playing with one hand only called, ‘Left Alone Rhapsody’, followed by a live piano concert with Mr. Bayless to honor local Temecula stroke survivors. Formal attire recommended.
