Based on the beloved 1968 MGM film and the children’s book by James Bond creator Ian Fleming, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a heartfelt stage musical adaptation, presented by Fine Arts Network. This production is making its inland theatre regional premiere in Old Town Temecula. This production will serve as a loving tribute to the legendary Sherman Brothers, known for classics like Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, and It’s a Small World, featuring a completely original design concept by Fortune & Glory Productions.
Join eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts, his children Jeremy and Jemima, and the spirited Truly Scrumptious as they embark on a spectacular journey in a magical car to rescue Grandpa Potts from the villainous Baron & Baroness in the child-hating land of Vulgaria. Along the way, they’ll dodge the creepy Child Catcher and prove that love, laughter, and a little “toot sweet” magic can save the day.
Featuring unforgettable songs like “Hushabye Mountain,” “Me Ol’ Bamboo,” and the iconic “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” — this high-flying musical will leave you singing all the way home!
