“Few playwrights have managed to blend laugh-out-loud humor with heart-wrenching poignancy to the degree accomplished by David Lindsay-Abaire in his brilliantly devised play.” - Los Angeles Times
Good People will be performed in a concert reading format.
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by by Christopher Durang - SUN, JAN 25, 2026
Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, Christopher Durang’s subversive comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike centers on a trio of adult siblings. Vanya and his adopted sister Sonia have spent their lives in a peaceful, if stagnant, routine that is disrupted when their sister Masha, a famous actress with a flair for melodrama, arrives unannounced.
Masha's boyfriend, a eccentric soothsaying housekeeper, and a sweet young neighbor stir the plot towards revelation and reinvention in this brilliantly silly comedy about sibling rivalry, midlife regret, and the absurdities of modern life.
Christopher Durang’s hit fuses farce with heart, serving up one-liners and existential angst in equal measure. The New York Times called it “deliriously funny!"
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will be performed in a concert reading format.
