British playwright Amy Rosenthal won the prestigious Sunday Times Drama Award in 1999 for her debut play, Henna Night. This poignant and darkly funny one-act comedy-drama follows Judith, a heartbroken woman struggling to cope with the end of her relationship. After leaving a desperate message for her ex-boyfriend, revealing her emotional turmoil, she is unexpectedly confronted by his new girlfriend, Ros, who arrives at her door while Judith is in the middle of a DIY henna hair treatment.

Directed by Luana Laubeski and produced by The Golden Hat Theatre, Henna Night explores heartbreak, rivalry, and the surprising connections that can emerge between two women brought together by an extraordinary night of honesty, humour, and emotional discovery.
