Join us for an evening of rhythm, glamour, joy, and raw emotion with LEO FROM RIO: SONGS OF LATIN ICONS, a live concert experience created and performed by Leopold Nunan.
This spectacular show celebrates the timeless power of Latin music and the legendary artists who have shaped generations across Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, and throughout Latin America. At its heart is the joyful spirit of Latin American cultures—where music is a way of bringing people together, celebrating life, remembering where we come from, and expressing who we are.
From the sophisticated bossa nova of Antônio Carlos Jobim and Sérgio Mendes, to the soulful voices of Mercedes Sosa and Violeta Parra, the fiery salsa of Celia Cruz, and the romantic bolero of Luis Miguel, Leopold reimagines iconic songs with a style all his own: elegant, theatrical, passionate, and deeply rooted in Latin culture.
Backed by a stellar band of world-class musicians, the performance blends live vocals, storytelling, theatricality, and irresistible Latin rhythms. It is more than a concert—it is a celebration of music, identity, nostalgia, love, joy, and the freedom to express ourselves fully.
As Halloween and Día de los Muertos approach, SONGS OF LATIN ICONS offers a fitting opportunity to honor the artists and legends who came before us while celebrating the color, warmth, and vitality of Latin American culture.
Presented in October—during LGBTQ+ History Month and the closing days of Hispanic Heritage Month—the performance highlights artists whose music transcended borders and generations. Their work reflects values shared by Latin and queer communities: authenticity, resilience, passion, and self-expression.
Expect Old Hollywood glamour, tropical sophistication, Latin American warmth, and unapologetic energy. Come listen, feel, remember, and celebrate the icons who remind us that music carries our stories—and that life is always worth celebrating.
