Ana Gazzola's Brazilian trio is ready to take center stage at The Merc, offering an evening of captivating enchantment as they skillfully blend cherished bossa nova tunes with a lively array of rhythms from Brazil and beyond.
Hailing from Caxias do Sul in the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, Ana Gazzola discovered her passion for music at an early age, guided by her mother who was her first teacher in singing and guitar.
Ana, a versatile Brazilian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, now resides in Los Angeles while maintaining strong ties to Brazil through frequent visits. Her musical journey led her from Porto Alegre to Rio de Janeiro, New York, and finally to the vibrant music scene of Los Angeles.
Having garnered acclaim across continents, Ana's fresh interpretations of Brazilian and American classics have resonated with audiences worldwide. In collaboration with fellow Brazilian artist Sonia Santos, she co-founded the Brasil Brazil Show, marking the beginning of a successful partnership in music production and performance.
Ana's accolades include winning the International Brazilian Press Award multiple times for her outstanding contributions to Brazilian music in the USA, as well as receiving commendations from the City of Los Angeles for her cultural impact.
Throughout the performance, Ana will share her heartfelt original compositions, infused with the essence of her Brazilian heritage, captivating audiences with her soulful voice and masterful guitar and saxophone skills.
Ana will be accompanied by Denys Cristian on guitar and Pablo Medina on keys.
